POSTAL NOTICE.

Mails will close as follows: Tuesday, 26th December—For the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, the United States, Central and Sojrth America, the West lnd : cs, via San Francisco, and the Sandwich Islands, drc, at 10 a.m. The-English mail of this dispatch will be due in London on 31st January. Money orders will be issued and letters registered up to 10 a.m. Christmas and New Year’s Day being Post Office holidays, all mails advertised for despatch on those days will close at 6 a.m. There will be no delivery by letter carriers on either Christmas or New Year’s Day, but, instead, a general delivery will he made over the counter at the Post Office on Saturday, 23rd inst., between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m. On the 26th (Boxing Day), the Post Office will be open in all branches- from 9 to 10 a.m. and the usual despatch of mails will be made up to 10 a.m. The suburban receivers will be clear* d at 7 a.m., and the town receivers uonly at 9 a.m. On the 2£th and 2Gth inst, and the Ist prox, the Telegraph Office will only be open the hours of 9 and 10 a.m., and 7 and 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open as usual.
