AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.

The N.M. and A Co report : At our Gore sale on Tuesday last about 2000 sheep were forward; but, being show day at Tapanui, very few buyers were present, consequently the sale was very slow. Our sales were 270 crossbred ewes and lambs at 15s ; 93 do, at 10s 2d ; 60 do, at 9s ; 10 wethers at 10s 3d.

Cattle —The demand was very limited, and only 26 head entered. None were sold. Wintou Sale, Thursday, 7th inst. About 2000 sheep were yarded, and the bulk of thent sold at fairly good prices. Sales are undoubtedly affected at this time of the year by the shows, and this was no exception. Prices were very irregular, some lots selling at good prices and others not so well. We sold fat wethers at 15s 3d, fat ewes at 10s, hoggets in the wool at 14s, shorn do 9s, and, lambs (ewes) at 9s lOd. Privately we have sold a line of crossbred ewes and lambs and & lot of fat cattle at full rate*.

Skin and Fat Sale—At our weekly sale on Mond iy there was a large entry of skins* everything being sold at full prices. Produce Market—Exceedinglyduil. Wheat, nominally, 2s 3d—(sacks extra). Oats, Is 7d to Is 7£d for good feed, sacks extra.

Ryegrass. —Farmers’ cleaned, 2s 3d to 3s, according to sample. Wool.—The sales promise to be large, anct as there is likely to be a good attendance o£ buyers full prices should be obtained.
