Hard times in Sydney. Jurors, owing to the necessity for retrenchment in the sherriff’s department, have to put up with cold food. Some of them complained to a judge lately that they had been compelled to take a cold breakfast, and that the eggs supplied were only fit for canaries. They got cold comfort from His Honour, who said the matter of meals could not Lc helped, although ho might get them a better room in which to deliberate.
