Missing Friends

The following persons who left the TJhited Kingdom for New Zealand, are inquired for in ‘Lloyd’s Weekly’ London newspapers of September 17th and 24th : John King, native of Par tick (Glasgow);last, heard of as seaman on the ship City of Ningapo, which arrived at Sydney in April/ 1882, is requested to send his address to office of this paper. His mother (Mrs Wilson) is anxious. Sydney papers please copy. Charles Funrell, left England about Aug., 1878, for New Zealand ; last heard of twelve years ago at Featherston. His sister asks.

Elizabeth Thomas, widow of Robert Thomas, plasterer, is inquired for by her anxious mother, who has had no news for four yeai»; last address near Christchurch. Catherine Hodge, born on December 5, 1837, at Countmashery. Ireland, is inquired for by brother William. She is supposed now to be in New Zealand.

Ephraim Knight Howe, left Hackney in June, 1874, to go to New Zealand. ’ Last address : Palmerston North, May, 1885 ; but letters have since been returned “unclaimed.” His brothers and sisters desire news.

Henry Scoff, left Greenwich fifteen years ago for New Zealand. His mother is most anxious.for tidings. C. Matthews, left Bottlesford eleven years ago in the British Queen for New Zealand, and nine years since was a baker in Wellington, His brother asks.
