The Farmers’ Alliance and Supply Company of New Zealand, Limited, report as follows: Kabbitskins. —Under this heading only s. small business is passing locally, and prices are lower in sympathy with the London market. Latest cables to hand advise a fall of 2d. per pound on last sale prices, which means that best winters are selling in London foe less than was paid here for them. Sheepskins also have suffered a decline im London, for from returns we have seen prices range somewhat similar to those ruling locally a few months ago. The news came too late to effect last week’s sale here, but we expect a marked decline in prices at next Monday’s sale. Hides and Fat are selling well at last cpio« tations. Wool. —We cannot hold out any very good prospect for the coming season, and we would, not be surprised to see a fall in values as compared with last year. The main trouble is that manufacturers are heavily stocked, and the coal strike in England hinders their supplies of that article, and they, therefore, arcs in many cases “shutting down” pending at settlement of the dispute.
