People we Know
For along time, dating away back into the sixties, the volunteer mo/ement has found a congenial home in Southland. Its companies, like those elsewhere, have had "their share of the vicissitudes incidental to countries liable to frequent ebbs and
flows of population, but nevertheless are today well to the front. Good companies argue good officers, and we this week present to our readers a group of Southland civilian soldiers who have done good service for their respective corps. The group is not of course » complete one- it lacks Lieut.-Colonel Feldwick, Major Seandrett, and Major Thomson and others but it is a representative group, and as such will commend itself to our readers, particularly those interested in volunteer matters.
