The Farmers’ Alliance and Supply Company of N.Z., Ltd., report for the week ending 18th inst.— Sheepskins—At our sale on Monday a very large catalogue was offered, and we sold every lot at prices that cannot fail to please vendors. Prices ranged from 5d to 51 d per lb for crossbreds with good pelts, while deadpelted sold at 44 d to 6d ; merinos at 4-J-d to s£d, according to condition. Eabbitskins A fairly large catalogue offered, comprising for the most part spring skins ; prices run from 9d to llfd per lb. Hides—We offered a very good selection and obtained, for heavy weights, 2gd to 2|d per lb; light from l|d to l|d ; small, lid; calfskins from Is 2d to Is 4d each. Pat—Ordinary lots of rough, 14s 6d ; 18s 6d for good tallow ; other sorts in proportion. Clearing sale—We held a very successful sale of Mr Bennett’s stock and implements at Benmore last Thursday, every lot being sold after very spirited bidding. Old ewes brought 8s 7d each; merinos 6s 2d ; horses, £lB to £ls ; old sorts, £7 to £8; cattle (only a medium lot) realised good prices.
