Mr R. C. Miller, basketmaker, has patented a new easy chair made of basketware or in wicker or cane. Besides being very comfort, able on account of the material ot which it is made the seat lifts on two hinges and underneath it are several steel spiral springs which work independently. Mr Miller has already received offers for the purchase of the patent for Australia and England, but is determined to work the patent himself, supplying New Zealand and Australia from Invercargill. We understand that to bring the “Eureka” into general use the maker will make the price as low as possible. The wonderful variety of shapes and designs of the many useful and ornamental articles made from willows and cane is very noticable in Mr Millar s shop at present, and now that the summer is upon us he should find a ready sale for his wares.
