ELECTION NOTICE. -J-O THE ELECTORS OE MATAUBA, Ladies and Gentlemen, —At the personal request of many electors throughout the district, I have decided to offer myself as a candidate at the forthcoming General Election. I have delayed thus publicly making known my intention owing to the long-continued sitting of the house, but now that all business lias been completed, I take the earliest opportunity of acquainting the Electors of my intentions. I do not propose to elaborate my views here, but will take full advantage of the time which must elapse before the elections, to meet you at the various centres and make known to you what are my views on the political questions of the day. The dates of the various addresses will be made known i from time to time. As a native of New Zealand and of your own district, it is needless to say that I am intimately concerned with its growth and | welfare, and with the progress and advancement of all our Colonial Institutions.
