The average cyclist looks as if he had been sent out to subpoena a coroner’s jury for his own inquest. His gaze is fixed about a inile-and-a half "up the road, his lips are set, and the corners of his mouth drawn down until his facial expression is a mixture of grim determination and utter despair.
