MARKET REPORT
The Farmers’ Alliance and Supply Co. of New Zealand, Ltd., report as follows for week ending 21st Sept.:— Rabbitskins. —At our Monday’s sale prices ruled about the same as last week’s ; winters up to 15d for prime ; springs and off-season, from 9d to 12sd, aceordiug to quality. Sheepskins —A moderate quantity forward. Crossbreds brought up to syd per lb for good ; 3-id to 5d ,for merinos and others. The market for fat and tallow is firm —rough fat,, 12s to 15s for best; tallow at late quotations with brisk {demand. Hides are in good demand at lid to IJd for light; heavies, 2d tp 3d. per lb if in good condition. Chaff—W* sold privately from L2 17s 6d to L 3 2sdd per ton according to quality. Good fowls* wheat is worth up to par bushel.
