We are pleased to inform you it has been one of the most successful sales we have ever had. This is specially gratifying to us, as this result has been attained without the aid of any of the blatant and vapouring advertising so common of late, and that, although our fellow drapers have been holding clearing sales at all seasons and under all circumstances, you have so freely responded to the announcement of our sale, held at its proper and legitimate time. It has also been a pleasure to, ns to be informed by so many of you that we always do better than we advertise, and that you rely on our sale as the genuine one in Invercargill. We are now busy opening out our Spring Shipments (personally selected in Britain by our Mr John Thomson) Beautiful Uoods, and exceptionally well bought. We firmly believe that our of Mantles Millinery, and Dresses this season will for Style, Quality and V alim, surpass anything we have ever yet shown. We shall hold our Spring Show (of which you will be duly advised) at the usual time, near the middle of September. We find this the most suitable time for our Customers, and the public always wait to see our selection before purchasing. TGe would just say that any reduced Dress Croods, Millinery, Jackets, Ulsters, or Furs left over from.the sale, will not be put into stock, but will be sold to anyone requiring them at the reduced prices.
