OCEAN BEACH FREEZING W O R K S. ifc has come to my knowledge that statements are being made and reports, circulated with reference to my Freezing Works, which . are not in accordance with facts, and are calculated to mislead Farmers;’l desire to inform sheep-growers that even should a sale of .the Ocean Beach Freezing Works be effected their control and management will, as hitherto, be with me, and that the present system, NET CASH & the HIGHEST PRICE, will be continued. Farmers who arc asked to believe prejudicial, reports to the effect that the Ocean Beach Freezing Works will be their enemy and will be instrumental in pulling down the values of sheep, I would respectfully ask to reserve their judgment and decide from actual experience. , To the Ocean Beach Freezing Works can be attributed the present high level of values in sheep; they alone are responsible for the advanced prices. Farmers have had twelve years’ experience of my system of doing business, and have testified to their appreciation of it in numberless ways. The two years that j my Freezing Works have been established 1 have resulted in very decided advantages to [ sheep-growers. I would ask Farmers to judge the position on their dealings in the past, and to assure them exactly the same methods will pertain to the future. It will not be from the Ocean Beach Freezing Works that they will have cause to complain. I can find an outlet for all the fat sheep grown in Southland, and am prepared to pay the highest net cash price for same. I respectfully ask judgment on the merits of business transactions hitherto, and not. on any fancy concoctions of opponents which may be circulated with a view to prejudice farmers against my Works J.
