The South Invercargill School Committee decline to allow the Ministers’ Association, Invercai’gill, to arrange for the reading of the Bible, without comment, for ten minutes after the opening hour, on the ground that it would be unfair to Roman Catholic children, a number of whom attend the school, and also tend to introduce denominationalism. It was agreed that the school could be used for the purpose stated before or after school hours.
