Notice is hereby given that the Southland County Council is prepared to receive applications from Farmers’ Clubs, Road Boards, Town Boards, and properly constituted Committees for subsidies towards destruction of small birds, the Council being-agreeable to grant £ for £ towards amounts raised by Boards, Clubs, or Committees, proportionately, to a limit of £2O of subsidy in each riding. With a view of securing united action this offer will remain open until the Council meeting of 14th July, 1893. Subsequently the payment of subsidies will be made only on presentation of a certificate of expenditure signed by the Chairman and one member of a board, club or committee. By Order* R. P. Section 70. “Every certificate shall be void unless the sum required to be paid for the license thereon authorised be paid to the proper officer entitled to receive the same within fourteen days after the granting of each certificate. It is hereby notified that License Fees cannot be received by the Treasurer of Southland County unless the same be paid to him within the time specified in section 70 of “ The Licensing Act, 1881,” namely fourteen days from the date of granting certificate by the Licensing Committe.
