SUPREME .COURT SITTINGS. The June sittings of the Court open at Invercargill atTO a.m. on Wednesday. Owing to the indisposition of His Honour Mr Justice Williams, it is possible that His Honour Mr Justice Ward will preside, Since the last sittings of the Court here, several alterations have been made in the courtroom. Of these, the most striking is the erection of a box-like structure over the judge’s seat, which will shield him from the draughts, and may enable the judicial tones to be heard more distinctly, by people in the body of the Hall. The list of cases is the smallest recorded for a good many years, viz.;— CT.nriXAL CASES. William Smith, breaking and entering at Gore. Charles Williams, killing a sheep with intent to steal the carcase. John Henry Hatton, larceny. James Lumsden, larceny. CI.VIL ACTJOiVs” Margaret Harvey v. A. Gerrard, claim for £l5O, balance of wages due. A. A. Mac Gibbon v, G. Dacomb—Action to obtain an investigation of partnership accounts.
