Three thousand peasants in Kharkoff persisted in lying on the rails over which a train conveying the Czar would have to pass, until His Majesty would hear their grievances. Before the train was brought to a standstill many of the peasants were crushed, while soldiers killed many others. In the meled fifteen soldiers were killed.
