GRAIN REPORT. Oats: The weather having been rather broken since last week has prevented deliveries being very heavy. The prices for this cereal have receded from Id to l.Vd per bushel since our last report, and may now be quoted as Is 41d to Is sd, on.trucks at wayside stations. Growers are not inclined to sell at these figures, and, anticipating a rise again, many are holding back. Generally speaking, farmers are now in a better position financially than they, have been for some time past, and can afford to try what advantage there may be in holding on. Merchants* however, are not anxious to do business at present prices, and a considerable quantity of the grain which has arrived in town by rail has been stored. Wheat: Slightly firmer, and maybe quoted at from 2s 3d to 2s 4d (sacks, fid), at wayside stations. The quality this season is very good. , • Ryegrass: The price offering for farmers’ parcels is 2s 3d, delivered. Linseed; A rise from prices quoted last week has taken place, but, although in good demand, there is very little linseed about. Barley: Prices range from 3s fid -to l s 9d, on trucks. Very little- offering just now.
