PIANOFORTE RECITAL.

A most successful pianoforte" recital " was, given by the pupils of Miss Agnes Aim, L.T.C.L.,. L.A.8., an the Parish Hall on Thursday evening, last week, the proceeds being in aid of the Girl Guides. The performance of the pupils reflected credit on their teacher and during the evening Miss Aim was presented with a beautiful bouquet and a box of chocolates. The assisting artists were Misses Josephine Thompson ('cellist), Doreen Saunders (elocutionist, of Palmerston N.);, Vera Aim (vocalist) and Mr H. Campbell (vocalist), all having to respond to encores. Bridge), Master Frank Judd; 'cello solo, Miss J. Thomson; trio, selected, Misses Clayton, Quarrie, Aim; duet, "Cavalleria Rustieana," Misses Cynthia Parker and 'Sonia Raskin; song, selected, Mr Campbell; solo, Ist valse (Duraiid), Miss Ethel Jamieson; trio* "Maypole Dance," Misses Butters, Bovis, Moir; piano solo; '' Nocturne in Bj Major (Chopin), Miss Vera Quarrie; solo, selected, Miss Vera Aim; solo, "Prelude in G Minor" (Rachmaninoff), Miss A.
