CHILDREN'S CONCERT AT MANGAORE.

On. Saturday evening, there was a large attendance of visitors at the staff bach, Mangaore, 'where a children’s concert Avas held in aid of the Sunday school prize fund. The duties of M.C. were in the hands of Mr A. Blackwood. The hall was beautifully deaerated with fernery and climbing roses and reflected credit, on the work of Mr Smith and the senior girls. The accompaniments were in the hands of Mrs Owen, Miss Joyce Blackwood and Miss Everell Chandler, whilst the organisation of the evening’s programme was undertaken by Mrs Elvincs and Miss Betty Blackwood. After the concert- was finished, an excellent supper was provided by the ladies. The programme was an excellent one, all the items meeting with large applause. The playette, “Merry and Bright,” by the seniors,-deserved special mention, also the dialogue by Miss Joyce Blackwood and Everel Chandler.
