REMEMBER.
That flowers sent by post should be put in water immediately, and left in a dark, place.-for a few hours. Cut the stems after they have revived. To prevent cutlery from rusting it should be wiped dry and wrapped in coarse brown paper. Most spots on wallpaper can be removed by covering them with a paste made of.fuller’s earth mixed with water. Leave it to dry, then brush off with care.
When the corkscrew is mislaid, tie a piece of string to an ordinary woodscrew, then screw it., well into the cork, and pull. Eggs covered with boiling water and allowed to stand are more easily digested than eggs placed in boiling water and allowed to boil furiously for three and a-half minutes.
More flavour will be extracted from coffee if a little salt is sprinkled over it before pouring on the boiling water.
