KEROSENE AND CANCER.
CURE CLAIMED IN HAWKE'S BAY. Dunedin, Nov. 23. Mr. L. N. White, whose reported cure of himself of cancer by means of kerosene has created much comment in all parts of the Dominion, has been in South Otago for the past week ,or so at the request of a district resident treating the. latter’s wife. Unfortunately, when success seemed imminent, the "lady contracted other complications and passed away. Mr. White, and also the lady’s husband, are, however, confident that had the treatment been started; earlier the disease would have been cured.
In conversation with a reporter, Mr. White stated that in this particular case, although the treatment was only tried at quarter strength, the disease had been arrested and everything pointed to a cure. He also stated that for outward cancer the kerosene was used as a poultice, and after it had been left on the affected part for a - time, sulphur was spread on the place. After a lapse of an hour or so the pus and discharge were removed, more sulphur put on. and the wound covered up. The frequency of the application of kerosene depended on the ability of the patient to stand the "drawing.” For internal cancer the method was to drink as much hot wafer as possible and then take an eggeupful of kerosene, or more if possible. For cancer of the bowel, a very frequent form, Mr. White said the patient must clean with an enema and then inject heated water by means of a small glass syringe. This is followed by injections of two syringefuls of kerosene, which must be left all night. The treatment is repeated in the morning and if too severe, at midday olive oil should be injected and left till night, when the kerosene must again be injected and left all night.. Referring to his own case, Mr. White said he had a very bad cancer and had been given a month to live. In desperation he tried the kerosene and Avas now completely cured. He also referred to the case of a man in Hawke's Bay who had a cancerous growth in the stomach. He drank half a cupful of kerosene every day and is now cured. In both cases the growth came away, roots and all, and there Avas now no sign of the disease. Mr. White has received many communications from friends of those who are suffering from the disease and is giving them the same advice as appears in the foregoing remarks.
