ABOUT ROSEMARY.
ITS BEAUTIFUL MEANING. Rosemary moans “Remembrance, ’ 1 apd is not, as is usually supposed, merely a compound of the two namet Rose 'and Mary, but a quite separate and distinct title. We are told that it belongs to that pretty section called Flower Names, and means “Fidelity in Love." It lias yet a third meaning when it is derived from the Latin word ‘'Rosmarinus" —“yen Dew," so that the lucky girl who bears this name may take her choice. In olden times Rosemary was always included in the bride'3 bouquet and the wed ding favour, as it was a plant thought tc- be closely associated with love, for the following quaint reason: Venus, the Goddess of Love, was born of the Sea-Foam and Rosemary from the SeaDew.
