HOW TO REDUCE.
Those who want to reduce sensibly should, in the first place, not attempt to lose more than one or, at most, one and a-half pounds a week, and should only alter one mca! at a time. Begiu by eating nothing at tea time —you are better without it, anyway. Then reduce your breakfast to the least that wiH "keep you going” till lunch time —if possible, take only tea, coffee or milk and nothing solid. Cut out all sweets, root vegetables, pastry and puddings, and "fill up,” not with bread, but with green vegetables, salads and fruit (except bananas;. Don’t eat anything late at night, oat, as little bread as possible, and let it be well toasted, and drink only between meals avoiding sweet drinks and alcohol. Two meals a day arc enough for anyone in ordinary health and who does not work. Anyone who follows these rules, and takes as much outdoor exercise as possible will soon get rid of unbecoming flesh.
