POLICE MAGIC?

BISHOP HAD NO LICENSE. (Sun JSpcerall.) LONDON, Thursday. The demoralisation of the established hierarchy, which began when the Bishop of ’ Bradford (Dr. Perowne) was fined 6s for poaching, continues unabated. The Bishop of Leicester (Dr. Bardslcy) was fined 24s at Chippenham (Wilts) for driving a car without a license. A policeman stopped the Bishop, who handed over a license four months-out of date. The Bishop wrote to the court apologising. He said that nobody was more surprised than himself to learn that his license had expired, but nobody has yet explained why the policeman stopped the Bishop.
