MR GLENN'S WITHDRAWAL CON* FIRMED. As indicated in the "Standard" a short time ago, Mr W. S. Glenn, who represented Rangitikei in the Reform Party interest as member of Parliament for close on a decade prior to his defeat at the general election in November last, has decided because of pressure of private business, that he will not be seeking election when the next poll comes round.

This decision was intimated to a large gathering of Reform Party committeemen in Mart on last evening. Mr Glenn promised to give his Avholehearted support to any candidate chosen to succeed him, and the meeting placed on record the very good work clone by Mr Glenn. Arrangements were put in train for the selection of a. candidate-elect, and a meeting of delegates from all parts of the electorate, with this purpose, is to be held in Maiton on October 23.
