MADAME ADA CROSSLEY PASSES.
LONDON, October 17. Obituarv.' Marthnie Ajdai Croissley, who in private life was Mrs Mueckc. Her death came as a groat shock to her > numerous friends. She had had indifferent health during the past year but latterly appeared a little better. Last week, she was confined to bed but became gradually worse to-day and died at six o'clock to-night from cerebral haemorrhage in a West End hospital.
The Daily Telegraph*""in the course of a striking tribute" entitled, "A Queen of Song," says that although it is some years since deceased retired from the concert platform, there still lingers a memory of her striking beauty of voice, with its strange smoothness of quality and almost equally fine natural production." Madame Ada Crossley was born in Gippsland. Victoria, and her mother was a member of the poet Cowper family. Her first public appearance was with the Melbourne Philhaimonic Society in 1892 and her. first appearance in London was in 1895.
