BISHOP IS TEMPTED.

FINED FOR POACHING. LONDON, Thursday. Even a bishop can yield to temptation—'.and the yielding of. the Bishop of Bradford (Dr. Perowne) to an impulse to poach for trout cost him 6s. Caught with a trout in a basket as he was angling in a Worcestershire trout stream, Dr. Perowne admitted that he had no licence, apologised, and inquired where he could get one.

He was summoned to the Tenbury Wells Court, where he was fined 6s. Dr. Perowne subsequently told a “Daily Mail” representative that the fish looked so excellent that he could not resist th 3 temptation. He had been fishing all hij life, and he supposed that he would keep on.
