NEW YORK, Sept. 22 A contract has been given by I pire State, Incorporated, of which former Governor, “Al” Smith, is j sident, to Stairett Brothers, for construction of the Avorld’s high office building on the site of the W dorf Astoria Hotel. The structure will be 1000 feet hi of 80 storeys and will accommod 50,000 office workers. It will be rej Avithin two years.
