RENOVATING CREASED CLOTHES
When unsightly creases appear in your coats and skirts, suspend the inents on hangers in the 'bathroom and turn on the hot water tap for five minutes. This will give the clothes a steam bath, nncl the creases will van--ish. If it is desired to press out creases caused by suspending a frock or coat by the armhole or collar instead of the loop, tack a piece of calico over the place and iron it ■under a i damp cloth, first catching down the bulging material here and there. This treatment -will'-usually put matters right unless the' cloth is very thick. When pressing out creases from heavy cloth,; keep the iron on the move and never allow the damp cloth over which you are ironing to become dry. To rest the iron on one spot will'leave a mark that is difficult to remove. All tackings, however slight, should be taken out; and before a pleated garment is pressed the pleats should be pinned down to the ironing pad at top and bottom.
