Hospitals are sometimes run by avouien only, but the first radium clinic to be organised entirely by medical women was established only recently. Even the house itself, one formerly inhabi-
tatcd by John Pet-tie, tOio Scottish panter, Avas altered by a woman architect, Miss Elizabeth Scott, who designed the new Shakespeare Memorial Theatre at Stratford-on-Avon. The new establishment has been named after Madame Marie Curie, to be called the Marie Curio Cancer Hospital for Women. It was founded by the Cancer Research Committee of the Medical Women's Federation.
