KNOWN IN SYDNEY. (Sun Special). VANCOUVER, Monday. Mr Julius Frank, a passenger on the Niagara last month, is seeking the aid of the police to trace three race track swindlers who took £IO,OOO from lum on fake bets. He met the trio on the boat at Honolulu and placed bets with them pt Montreal and Reno. Frank is a big merchant at Nurnberg, Germany. Commercial men in Sydney, who know Mr Frank, are amazed that he should have been swindled in this manner. He was here for some weeks establishing a connection foY the sale of his goods, arid during the time he frequently expressed his antagonism to horse-racing and betting.
