AUSTIN INVADES U.S.A.

(Sun Special.) LONDON, Monday

Sir Herbert Austin announces that, following the successful manufacture of Austin Sevens in France and Germany, "an American company has been formed to begin their manufacture at Butler, Pennsylvania. The cars will be identical with the British Austin Seven except for the p;ositio,n of the steering wheel and minor alterations to conform, with American practice. This will be the first introduction to America of the baby car, of which it is expected, 100,000 will be produced in 1930, exceeding the number it is possible to market in Britain. The price, probably, will be £IOO, owing to the cheaper manufacturing costs.
