FIVE GENERATIONS ALIVE
INFANT GIRL'S FOUR 'MOTHERS.'
ALL ATTEND HEE CHRISTENING,
Oblivious to all the fuss being made over her, a wee lady, weighing only a few pounds and but two months old, was the youngest of five generations present at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, when the Rev. G. C. Cruikshank bestowed upon her the name Maureen Mavis Garter.
Gathered at the ceremony were her mother, grandmother, great-grandmoth-er, and great-great-grandmother. It mus>t be unique for five generations to be present at any ceremony, and in the present instance it is more so because all belong to the fair sex and reside in Auckland. ;
