"CHARLEY'S AUNT."
/ BOX PLAN NOW OPEN.
"Charley's Aunt" seems to have drunk from the spring of perpetual youth—if such a description is possible •of the elderly maiden lady who for forty years past has periodically delighted audiences in many lands. The inherent merit of 'the comedy is ressponsible for its sustained popularity. The central idea, the substitution of a burlesque for the genuine one, has been presented in a hundred different forms since Brandon Thomas created "Charley's Aunt," but few have equalled the old favourite in wholesome comedy and absurdity of situation. Time passes, but the old lady shows no trace of age, no failing of her powers to amuse and interest. , The Levin Operatic Society have certainly done well in choosing such a well-known and popular play for their production this year. Final rehearsals will be held every night this week and everyone'is working hard to ensure its success. The box plan for the 4) scats has opened at Aitken"s Book Store, Levin.
