SUNDAY FOOTBALL.

ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE. (To the Editor.) Bear Sir, —Being one of the old Shannon boys of years' standing and getting your paper per favour of Tom King on a Sunday, I had to smile at the old WoAvser getting in again over the Sunday football —a thing they will always moan about. I thought you might put these few lines in <~he paper as I hope it will help my old pal. Bob Downes, to talk them flat, —Your Truly ONE OF THE BOYS. Pa.lmerston North, July 3, 1929. Stop' look-out, you football blokes, The WoAvser's here again, And *you can bet he'll do his best To stop your Sunday game. And some of you might think it strangle At ins voice being always heaid, But to me it seems quite different As his neck's built like a bird* Stick to your .>;ame, you hairy men, And keep him on his oavii, As people will say from day to day; The WoAvser's sure to moan. ("Always churping).
