CHINA FLOWERS FOR DECORATION. The prettiest present given to a little bride the other day took the form cr ;i sot of miniature I)owis of china flowers ■ for table 'decoration! _ The flowers were utterly adorable, fairyfine in their dainty perfection—bluebells, primroses, cowslips, daffodils, daii : i;W and crocuses —each wee plant. ie. its own wee bowi. And they can be used as menu holders on occasion. A larger decoration, suitable for the centre, of the table, consisted, of a flat basket of beige-tinted porcelain, filled with shell-pink camelia flowers. Minute camellias wreathed the handle of the basket, and tender green crystal leaves added their own exquisite note. Crystal tree decorations get lovelier every day. One specially delightful specimen'is expressed in .green and silver. The leaves are made of jade green bubble glass, and the fruits glittering on the branches are spheres of? frosted silver glass, in which the green is beautifully reflected. & It is easy to evolve a somewhat similar tree'with the aid of glass beads and crystal leaves, both of which are obtainable from shops that specialise in materials for craft-workers. A twisted branch from the garden should be set in a firm base —an ordinary glass flower block makes a good foundation, and it can be concealed by a covering of silver sealing wax. Clusters of different sized beads in amethyst colourings should be depended from the branch, and groups of the crystal leaves must, be fastened artistically above the bead clusters. The "trunk" of the tree may be left bare ,bound with silver wire ,or painted with silver paint, just as you prefer. If yellow glass beads are used to trim the tree, it will look like a laburnum; amethysts will make it appear as a miniature wisteria.
