The matter of how r long it would take a lady witness to change and get to the court to give evidence in a case was the subject off a discussion by counsel and the reporters the other day (says the Wanganui paper). The court had adjourned to permit the lady to bo called. The clerk volunteered the suggestion that in these days of short skirts and short hair there could be no delay with a’ struggle w'ith long tresses and the juggling with hairpins to get their hats properly adjusted. It w r as only a matter of a few' flicks w'ith the comb, clap a little hat on, and off went the lady. ,
