The Highways Board has authorised a sum for expenditure in providing a turning p'lace at the top of the Paekakariki Hill. At the present time (says the official report), especially on Sundays and holidays, a large number of cars stop at the top of the hill to take advantage of the excellent view which is obtainable ■ from this point, and the parking of cars on the present roadway is more or less a danger, to other traffic. The provision of a turning point •will considerably Improve matters at this point.
