WASHED UP BY FLOOD.
UNKNOWN MAN’S BODY. 'The body of an unknown man was discovered on the farm of Mr Morley, at Tiakitahuna yesterday, it having been deposited there by the recent flood from the Manawatu river. The body was found half buried in silt and jammed between logs and drift wood/ Avhich had also come down with the flood. The police were informed and the body removed to the Palmerston North morgue, aAvaiting identifications. From appearances deceased was a man of between 30 and 35 years and about sft lOin. in height. He was of strong build. Avith dark brown hair and eyes and red moustache. The trousers and coat Avere dark brown tweed, while he was wearing a soft striped collar, tie, flannel undershirt and black laceup boots. In a pocket was found a eherrywood pipe, portion of a black comb, and a red comb in a red case. There was also a Avatch of American make.
The police ask that anyone who can .give information that will lead to identification, will communicate with them. 1
