LEVIN DENTAL CLINIC.

SOON TO BE IN OPERATION. The State Dental Clinic erected lat the Levin District High School is now completed and ,a nurse has been appointed to take charge. The School Committee at, last night's meeting dealt with a number of matters relating to the clinic.

Dr. T. A. Hunter, Director of th Division of Dental Hygiene, wrote ex pressing pleasure that the Levin Den tal Clinic wa3 ready for occupation He would forward the necessary denta equipment. Nurse M. H. E. Ayson ha< been appointed to Levin and woub take up duty in a fortnight's time The Dental Inspecting Officer, Mr El liott, would visit Levin on Thursday May 16th, to confer with the Com mittee in regard to the furnishing.

The Dental Committee reeommendei that the Koputaroa School Committei be asked to decide whether it wouli join the Levin or Shannon Groups fo; organisation purposes; that it be a re commendation to the Levin Schoo Committee that a committee be form ed of representatives of all the Schoo Committees in the group to take con trol and be responsible for the main tenance of the clinic; that a gardei party be organised at the schoo grounds to raise the balance of the money required for furnishing anc maintenance.

These recommendations were adopt ed by the Committee. It was decided to call a meeting oi representatives of the Committees con cerned for Tuesday, June 4th, to set up a permanent committee of control. The following were appointed a Dental Committee and the matter of holding a fund-raising effort was referred to them: Misses Hitchcock and Bowen, Messrs Ece &nd Kerslake. It was decided to arrange for an official opening of the elinic and to invite the Ministers for Health and Education to be present. The Secretary said the dental equipment had arrived and part of the furniture was also ready.
