Tatana was unsuccessful in his attempt to convert. Wanderers 3, Weraroa nil. On the ball going into play Weraroa Avorked down into their opponents' territory, but a- passing movement enabled Wanderers to return play over the half-way line, Avhere from :i penalty Tatana attempted to goal, the ball falling short, Both teams Avere now taking turns at attack, in which the Wanderers' backs handling th.< ball best gave them the advantage. From one of these bouts Bryant wa'-r. collared on the line. Shortly after, Tatana had another unsuccessful kick at gor.l. After play had travelled up and down the field, a score to .Wanderers was lost OAving to a knock-on. From the- seium Weraroa were penalised, but again Tatana failed to convert. Momentaiily Weraroa pressed, Ryder saving by' , kicking along the line, the ball going out at half-way. The spell ended: Wanderers 3, Weraroa nil.

On changing sides Weraroa set out to attack, but Bryant or- the wing, soon upset their action by securing the ball and setting off for their line, and, with only Bub. to puss, short-punted, but the. latter got possession and quickly kicked back. Wanderers then pressed, J. Broughton clearing by running round the opposition and kicking to the half-way line. Shortly after, this plaver got a knock on the- head and had 1o retire, and W. Greig had to .be carried off owing to an injury to his leg, while anoiiuv player was down

with cramp. On play being resumed. Wanderers kicked to their opponentsHim, where from a five yards scrum, Xieholson wcr.t over. McDonell look the kick but failed to add the extra points.
