YOUTHS IN TROUBLE.
INCIDENT AT SHANNON. FolloAving incidents Avhich recently occurred at Shannon, a quintette of youth appeared before Mr J.* L. Stout, 3M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North yesterday, charged'with placing a tin of refuse in a public place at the Post Office. There charged were Algar Mason, 'James H. Jamieson, Thomas E. Lee, H. Brassington and P. H. Wilde. A.l pleaded guilty with the exception ot the last-named. Mr Cooper stated that Wilde took no part in the offence. He was retliming from church Avhen lie met the others concerned, and the suggestion was made, but he had nothing to do with the action, although he was Avitn ■the party. For Brassington, Mr Grant, avlio appeared on his behalf, stated that lie was returning home from church when he met the others.
