CROQUET.

The members or the Shannon Croquet Club brought their season to a close on Wednesday afternoon when a number of competitions were held. At the. conclusion- of the day '& play the trophies won were presented by Mrs O. C. Franks (president). \hey were as follows: —Hurry Scurry, Mesdames Aim and Mitchell; hitting thi peg, Mrs Aim; golf, Mrs Cronquest; angles, Airs Robbie. The bowl presented by the Shannpn branch of the Plunket Society to the player making the biggest break was won by Mrs Mason, while the bowl presented by Mr W. Snelling was handed by Mrs Snelling to Mrs Harding, the winner for handicap play.
