The taking of gravel fro stream bods in this district, in n opinion, improve the- stream bed more especially in the vicinity < bridges, in that the waterway is kei clear. Repairs have been carried out on Temukanui Road where a fire •did some damage. The timbers for Albert Road bridge have been delivered at the* site. This contract was let )to Air. Oooksley of Rangiotu. The grader has been at work on the Main •Highway. General. After viewing several trucks, your Committee decided to purchase a Chevrolet truck. Tenders have been invited for the fpurehasc of portion of the Council’s crushing plant.
