CHAMPIONSHIP POSITION. -•', The championship -points in the Hall Cup competition, as,at the end of the third round; which concluded on Saturday, are as,under:—

The match, played at Paraparaumu on- Saturday between the. local team and- the Levin club's eleven resulted in a three-point,win for the visitors.

On the Weraroa Recreation Ground en Saturday, the Weraroa cricket team ■ secured, a * three-point win over Phoenix, /having an innings and nine runs to the good at the end of the game. Phoenix went to the wickets first and compiled 72, only two of their batsmen : reaching, double-figures—Macken-zie .17 land ..Hunter 10. Weraroa quickly passed their opponents' total, and at 120 declared the innings closed, for three wickets.,. (The top scorer was, Hellamore, .'with 44 not out; and the next 'best whs .Bennett, 27.
