RUGBY FOOTBALL.

1 ANNUAL MEETING OF WERAROA CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Weraroa Football Club was held in Mr C. 11. Bould's -Rooms on Monday night,, Mr Hooper being in the chair, and there being* a good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from quite a number of players. Mr Hooper congratulated the teams on their* last season's play. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr T. Hobson; president, Mr 'S. Hooper; vice-presidents, Messrs E. Ghristenson, Dr. Thompson, Dr. Hunter, G-. Ramsbotham, J. Riimner, C. Bould, E. Henderson,- Father Butler, E. Jones, W. McLennah, W. Falloou, T. Kilpon, L. James, and L. Carmichael; secretary, Mr J. McLennan; treasurer, Mr W\ Ryder; club captain, Mr S. Hooper; committee, Mosses. Ryder, Christenson, Bolton, G. Hobson, Wildsmith, Bould, and Walton; delegates to Horowlieniia Rugby District Counci,l Messrs Hooper, Bolton, Walton, Wildsmith, Ryder and Christenson; coaches, Messrs J. O'Connor (senior), S. Hooper (junior), and H. Bolton (third grade). / I The following new members were ! elected:—Messrs Trotter, Wildsmith, ' Skilton, Houlihan, W. Moses, Guinan,. j C. McDonald, C. Higgs, Morgan, .J. I Hanna, L. James and T. Kilpon. j The subscriptions for the year were fixed at 5s for seniors, os for juniors, ! and 2s 6d for thirds. j The Club have decided to buy jcrj seys for all players and to have them , laundered every week. It was resolved to hold a euchre ! party and dance eyery fortnight, tha , proceeds to go to the jersey fund. The meeting concluded with ■ a vote of thanks to the chair, also to Mr Jould for the use of the room.
