LEVIN STOCK MARKET.

MESSRS ABRAHAM & WILLIAMS REPORT. Rough weather somewhat affccte-.l the yardings, of which pigs were in best supply, at the weekly Levin stock sale yesterday. The attendance was satisfactory. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., quote as follows: — Sheep.—Four and five-year ewes 25s 2d, Southdown rams 7gns to Bgns. / Cattle.—Fat cows, £4 17s 6d, £5 10s, £6 15s; weaner heifers, £2 16s; cows in milk, £8; springing heifers, £9 2s 6<i' to £9 15s; dairy cows, £6 17s 6d to £S 12s 6d. Pigs. —"Weaners, 14s; porkers, 265. 325, 335, to 355; baconers, £2 3s 6d to £2 10s. SUCCESSFUL CLEARING- SALE. Messrs Abraham a'id Williams, Ltd , report haying held a very successful clearing - sale on Monday on account of Mr G. Monk, at the farm on South Manakau Road, of which his lease has expired. There was a large attendance of the public, and keen competition was experienced throughout the sale. Prices were realised as under: —

Sheep.—Mixed sex woolly lambs 19s 4d, small do. 15s 6d; four and six-tooth black-faced ewes, 24s 'ld; two-tooth wethers, 26s lid; four and six-tooth Romney ewes, 3.1 s 6d; two-tooth Romney ewes, 31s sd; four and five-year ewes, 28s Id; failing mouth ewes, 10s 6d.

The dairy herd, comprising principally Jersey and Jersey cross cows in good order, realised an average of £l2 4s over 48 head, a satisfactory figure for such a. number. Best sorts, due July and early August, brought £l(s 10s, £l7, £lB 10s, £2O to £2l 15s; September calvers, £lO 10s, £ll 10s, £l2 5s to £l4; later calvers and three-quar-tered cows, £5 ss, £7 to £8 ss; heifers at drop, £l3; spring calving heifers, £7 10s, £8 to £8 10s; weaner. heifers £3 12s 6d, small do. 225.; Farm horses, aged, fetched £5, £lO and £3O 10s; and all implements and sundries sold well; under good competition.
