MISSING BOYS RECAPTURED.

THREE FOUND AT PALMERSTON THREE AT KUKTJ.

The six inmates of the Boys' Training Farm who broke away from a picnic at the Ohau River on Thursday afternoon, three of whom illegally borrowed a car- at Levin and drove it as far as Halcombe, where they abandoned' it, have all been run to v earth. The three elder lads were arrested at Palmerston North on Saturday evening. The other three boys were located at Knku yesterday/, and; were (returnedto the Farm. PENALTIES INFLICTED.

The three youths concerned appeared before the Children's Court at Palmerston on charges' that at Shannon they did steal benzine valued at 10s from E. E. Brady; "an axe, hoe and spade, valued- at £1 3s from John Hennessy; confectionery valued at £2 from Alice Connolly, on whose premises they were alleged to have wilfully damaged a plate glass window valued at £2O; and that they did convert cars valued at £350, the property of A. Mottershead, and £250, the property of Joseph Darragh, respectively to their own use.

Each was sentenced to three years Borstal detention.
