FOXTON FARMER GORED BY BULL.
-■■■— ■ INJURIES MAY PROVE FATAL. Shortly after noon yesterday, an elderly farmer, Mr Wm. Aldridge, of Avenue road, " Foxton, was severely gored by a young Jersey bull and as a result suffered injuries from which he is not expected to recover. Mr Aldridge was crossing a paddock when the bull attacked him. He struggled with the animal for some minutes by holding its horns but wa3 finally forced against a fence and crushed before being able to crawl underneath to safety. The affair was witnessed from the house and medical aid was immediately summoned. Reports last night indicated that Mr Aldridge’s condition-was causing grave anxiety. He is 71 years of age.
